hi,
New user here and i am looking for some hinges for a 280i fixed head, the ones that hold the rear glass hatchback in place.

any ideas ?

If I recall correctly, they were lashed-up anyway. On my Tasmin the studs had all rusted to hell, so I drilled them out and welded stainless ones in. Ignoring the studs, it's a pretty basic steel plate hinge, wouldn't take much to modify something to suit; but I'd bet you could repair the ones you have.

Thanks for the quick response, i did try using someof that steel weld glue to fix new studs but it didnt hold. I will try and find someone to weld them for me.

Apparently the hinges are off a Hillman Imp . I think someone had a set for sale in the classifieds too.

Think you're thinking of the BOOT hinges on the drophead, he's on about the glass tailgate on the FHC...
