Hi
can anyone help me on a radiator for my 350i?

I have uploaded a pic

Would love to get the old girl to Monte Carlo in August.

Looks like a fairly standard rad, but have no idea from what car.

Any help would be great.

Cheers

Tim

I think it's a modified Range Rover item but you're probably better to get yours reconditioned because you know it fits and has all the connectors etc in the right places.

Aye, last re core was around 200 notes. Think I had one with an extra row as well. Not really knowing much about this, it was explained to me somewhere that you can go overboard with the cores and make it worse? That is the air cannot get through?

Either way the extra core on mine seemed to be the happy middle ground. That and the old one fell apart anyway.

Hi Mate..There are replacements but they are not cheap and you should always make sure that they are the right part...However i would agree with getting your old one re-cored as you know then that it will fit and is the right part..And a bit cheaper depending where you get it done...Ziga

I went through this process a few weeks ago when I was looking to either replace or get my radiator recored. In the end though I decided to leave it and change the rest of the cooling system to see what happens first, but here are my findings anyway!

I found these websites useful
www.adrad.co.uk
www.fastrads.co.uk

I managed to find a match for my radiator on fastrads for about £50 less than the cheapest quote for getting my current one recored. The measurements matched up exactly, but could not tell if it would have the apperture for the otter switch on mine, so an alternative may have been needed (something like this maybe http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Variable-Thermostat-Temp...

Another vote for you to get yours re-cored, also upgrade to a 3 rows - well worth the few pennies extra

Also forgot to add that I decided that if I do need to pay some attention to the radiator in the future then I would probably go the recore route, even if it is a few £ more, as then its definitely going to fit in OK without any faffing around.

There goes another night out!

Not sure if this is pricey, but got to keep her happy.

Cheers once again

Just checking when I had mine done. 2006 at £180 Sure it has been done again for around 200 a year later but that was pre 20% VAT and with inflation and all that. That was 9 years ago so maybe.

Edit. First time was an independent, second was Sercs.
