Well after contemplation of letting the wedge go to a new owner, and the realization my life wouldn't be complete without the wedge, I finally hauled it out of the garage and washed 3 years of dust off her. The optimate did its job perfectly, and after disconnecting the HT lead and turning her over a few times to pump the oil around the engine, she fired first time. Despite being parked with the handbrake off, she didnt want to move, but with a little persuasion, she lurched back out of the garage.

Now, the list of work to be done is mainly cosmetic (Dash wood has dried out and split, some mold on the carpets a blown leadlight bulb (oh and a pod that "winks" when the lights are switched off)and the heater controls need completely rebuilding)

She is ready to go for her MOT. Insurance this morning was quoted as £215 +£20 agreed evaluation fee (as im no longer a TVRCC member)

On a plus side, when I put her away, I was able to fit and try out her new "Leven Cover" smile

Hi Jason,

Always interested to see your particular Wedge up and running, as it was the stable mate of mine ( ex - Seamus ) back in the day.
Trying to make some time to Wedge properly this year, so enjoy, I plan to. sonar

Cheers Al

Jason,

DO you ever here from Seamus? I know he went for a Black 400 a year or so after he sold to me but didn't keep it long, but haven't seen him on here for at least 5 years. Just wondered how he was getting on. sonar

No Mate, seems like once Wedge owners sell on, they drop from the radar.
Its like Richard Aldous's White 390SE, Last thing I heard it was with a new owner in Southampton, and that was the last.
I know the ex-Patrick Deary SEAC is now going though a complete restoration, but again, the old owners seem to have left the fold.
