Hiya fellow Wedgers. Last night on a midnight run with my 350i i noticed the light in my fuel gauge wasn't working. I assume the lamp met it's end, any easy way to remove those gauges to replace broken lamps and such?

If you have long thin fingers it is possible to change the bulb in situ otherwise it is a pain cos the nuts on the back that hold the gauge in are so small and there is so little room.i changed mine when i took the instrument panel off completly and then it was easy. Good luck and get the swear tin out as you will need it.

It can be done in situ, bit of a fiddle but a lot less hassle than dismantling the dash
