Hi

Some of you may remember the 17 months today (28/11/2011) I kind young lad parked his car in the back of my van whilst I was stand looking into the back!

Well the day before (Sunday the 27th) I spent the whole day cleaning my then small collection of TVRs (5) as they were being put away for the winter.

Well I spent the whole day today with Mr Sheen cleaning the cars as they came out of this years winter storage ready for next weekend when I hope to have most of my collection at Rushden for all three days of the Bank Holiday weekend!

Mr Sheen took some pics and a vid of what I did!

I managed to get into the driving seat of a TVR for the first time in 17 months!

As it was my 280iS3 auto it would be silly of me not take it for a drive!

After 17 months four of which I spent in Hospital it was well worth the wait and did it feel great! woohooclapsmile

The next thing is to beable to drive a geared TVR again, that will take at least another couple of months but I am more confident it will happen!

Andy

I wasnt a regular visitor to the wedge pages 17 months ago so I missed hearing how you were hurt.
Glad to hear you are making good progress to being able to drive the majority of your TVRs

I hope the pillock who drove into you has been treated in an appropriate way by the courts.

Danny it wasn't roof of weather in Cambs today it was a bit on the cold side. plus the idea was to try and get into it with the smallest opening, with the roof off it would have been a lot easier!

It's really pleasing to hear that you are making such good progress after your horrific accident.

I wish you all the best for the future and many more miles of driving yourself in your TVRs. thumbup

Sorry Adam more like the Cerbera Clutch pedal as its door opens a lot wider so I can get my legs in!

To get into the wedge yesterday I had to go into the car on my back and rest my bum on the center consul before I could get my legs in! I can't bend my legs enough yet!

Well done Andy - great feeling I bet.

My kids often use the a phrase when they get hurt and are battling through the pain with a smile :

"I'm OK Dad, I'm 'tanking it'"

Everytime I hear that now it has a double meaning....

All the best, Paul.
