Hi all
I was sitting on the wall outside the garage last night contemplating prepping the Midget for paint, when a van pulls up and out jumps a lad I've never met before. "Alright Mate I've just bought a Wedge" what a brilliant way to meet people.
Anyway we get talking as you do. I show him round the yellow peril and pass on some of the limited wisdom I've picked up since Christmas.
Turns out he may have dropped on a real bargain.
I went to look at it for him today at the bodyshop he has it stored. It looks a little rough and has been standing do some time. But it starts and runs sweetly. But not for long as the fan has seized.
The car was sadly available due to the previous owner suddenly dying. The car is black with grey roof and interior. The windows are etched TVR 5 X I think. But the plate was not included. The car has a documented 31k miles with two owners. One of whom may have been Peter Wheeler (spelling.) it has the wedge shaped rear spoiler and a set of 40se wheels.
I couldn't get under it very well as the tyres were well down but it felt like it needed outrigger attention but hopefully not major.
I told Richard about the PH Wedgers so hopefully we will get another member or two soon. As is mate also bought the 280 that lived at the same address.
Does anyone know this car? Can't believe I didn't get the chassis number while I was there. Only thought about it half way home Doh!
Oh it's a V8 350i s2 1986.
