Cheers Marcus
Well it's obviously still in progress, but to go from grey to brown I used a product called Gliptone
Very good stuff.

Actually it was gonna all be in Tan like the seats.
But they have struggled getting the colour right,
The product itself is good, but I am disappointed with the trouble I've had.

Having said that, I'm really liking the brown now,
The new hood is Brown as well, really ties the colours together nicely.

That's strange i was talking to ralph earlier and he was telling me about gliptone..Looks really nice..I think the glovebox would look good with a veneer on it but that's my personal opinion..Good colour mix..Ziga

Well to be honest I'm going to get rid of all walnut,
And recovering in tan leather, including the glovebox

Just did it brown for the time being.
Yeah it goes on well, tip go for a Matt sealer if you thinking about it.
It goes on kinda glossy and looks a bit cheap.
But once the Matt sealer is on, it makes it look really leathery.

Glad I went with that colour carpet now, as I think the seats and floors will be enough in that colour.
And of coarse clock/switch facials glove box.

I may go for gators in tan also..

Hi Mate
Looking really nice mate, well done, looks it like me and you are on the same page as about to re-colour my dash, door cards etc and that dye is a very good product, but if you need to match any colour, have a chat to the guys at dynamix they have got it spot on many times for me, love the seats, cheers Ralph

Oh yeah it was all there, just in a bad state.
So it was just a case of removal good wash and scrub,
And then apply the the gliptone, doors next, I'm gonna do em brown, but if I'm not happy
May consider getting them recovered in Tan Leather, found a place that can supply either full or half hides at a great price.
With a very good colour match.
The carpets I've cut myself and on close inspection could be better,
Will look better with tailored floor mats.

I'm really struggling to get the walnut from around the clocks though.
It's fastened in in some way, but can't see how!?

Do do you not have the centre console or door cards?

Thanks Ralph, it's a great feeling watching it transform.
I'm feeling its getting a look of an Aston Martin V8 from late 70s early 80s
Father in law has a Volante version... Dream type stuff!

May give them a go then, gliptone are sending me some Red to mix in with the colour that's wrong, it's just yellowy orange.
You could argue that that's what tan is, but there's lies the problem, it's a very subtle colour.

And of its not quite right it looks awfull.

Thanks again Ralph

Morning Rik
It bolted in mate, there are 4 1/2inch bolts located behind the clocks and you maybe able to remove with the dash in, but not to sure, i just removed the dash, good luck, Ralph

Cheers mate,
I will have a good look behind there tonight.

See what I can see, of coarse I already know what will happen I will be able to remove all but one if the bolts and have to remove the dash for that last one! It is the way of things. smile

Ha ha

Thanks again Ralph

Hi guy's if you take vents out of the dash you can usually find the bolts inside with your fingers [depends if all dashes are the same] i had three bolts on mine two at the dial side and one next to the vents.
