ARP studs on the SX - problem
Discussion
Well some of you might say - it's a nice problem to have... ;^)
The problem is the studs/bolts at the end of the No. 1 cylinder.
On the right is the SC head bolt - which has a threaded stud attached to the top. onto this stud goes a mounting bracket for part of the supercharger.
On the left is the ARP stud.
Now what I'm not sure about is - if I use the stud, will I have enough thread left on the top to attach the bracket? Also the nut is thicker than the head of the special bolt.
If I re-use the bolt - will it torque down enough to match the other studs (I think not).
I suppose another option is to have another stud made up as a special. Or - weld another threaded rod onto the top of this stud after cutting it down slightly.
