What a nice little event this is. Wasn't going as I had a viewing on the 280 but the guy hadn't phoned by 10:30 so I thought sod it and went. Cars from all eras screaming up a little Hillclimb course. Most mental was something called a chapperal - huge V8 with inlet trumpets and exhausts sticking out the rear cover. Met a nice fella racing his 390. Should put this on the wedges calendar of things to visit.

Hi Ron,
glad you made it in the end but sorry your viewing didn't go ahead. It is a lovely event, helped by the weather as well!
I know what you mean about the car with the sticky-up ram pipes and exhausts - a bonkers car! Very noisy!
I was lucky and got sent from the public car park to the display area. Ended up parked opposite a very highly tuned Camero with twin super chargers and methanol injection. It had a small under-bonnet fire as was being parked up and the owner was having real mixed emotions. Sadness that it had happened but happiness that there was a fire extinguisher to hand and that it wasn't a lot worse!
