Don't get too excited fellas (only the over 30's will have heard of electric blue).

Electric blue is the colour of my 350i.

I am trying to source an "origional" set of HT leads without going to Luminition or Magnecor etc. I have been told to ask for a brand called "RISTS" but most people (Deamon Tweaks and the Rover daelers) have never heard of them.

Any ideas anyone????

Thanks.

Simon.

And with the engine bay insulated in fibreglass it isn't surprising that they broke down quickly. Lum or Mag or

Lucas Rists fouded in 1927. Manafactured electrical wiring systems, power leads and battery cables. They were based, I think in Newcastle-u-Lyne. One of Rover's biggest suppliers, but invovled in various takeovers and now a casualty of the Rover crises i.e no more!

Try RT racing. They fitted a new set of black HT leads to my wedge earlier this year. Too dark to go and check if they are named, but definitely had 'Made in Britain' on them.

It may be of interest to some... Vehicle Wiring Products will sell you HT cable 'off the reel' and the necessary end fittings and insulators to make up you own HT leads. Given the speed at which my 390 eats them, I was thinking of going down this route.
I was thinking of using the copper-cored stuff rather than the cheapo carbon string that is most common, to get max volts at the plugs. To hell with the radiated emf...

30 metres of 7mm copper-cored and a large collection of end fittings less than £40 exc. VAT - all this is enough to make three sets of HT leads for a V8!
