Ok as you guys know the paint on my 280 is knackered, lots of blistered and discoloured lacquer.
Pixel Pusher has very kindly photoshopped a colour change onto a 280 (not mine so sorry to whoever owns it)
Opinions?

The colour is ford signal orange.

My car currently looks like this

Orange looks cool but you would have to contrast it with a Black interior IMO.

My Interior is mostly black anyway.

I do like it in silver but my OH and daughter dont like the colour, I do like this orange so it was a thought on what to change it to if I do decide to change,

Also there is the issue of stepping away from what was an original. I prefer light exteriors to complement a dark interior, so personal preference is the original Silver, also you need to take into consideration if you intend to sell it on, but it's yours and you can do what you like, Wedges are different for a reason......

Can't wait to see what you end up with. sonar

IMHO Wedges are striking looking so don't need any help from loud colours (unlike a Focus)

I see what you mean, the car PP shopped the orange onto is actually yellow so pretty loud already.

The orange is a 70's escort colour which is probably why I like it.

Definitely silver. I agree it's not a Focus!

There is also the issue of whether or not you are going to get the engine bay and other bits done as well. If it's a complete respray it's a different matter, but if it's external bits only it will always look a bit odd.

Yes I was thinking about that, it will be a much bigger job to do a respray in a different colour and obviously a lot more expensive, I reckon I will keep it silver, I will just need to buy some new stripes and the badge for the front, but that isnt a big problem, they seem to be readily available on the bay.

You could choose a colour which is a subtley different colour but not so much that it shows when you open the bonnet! Like a pearlescent solver or something!!??
