Well managed to get some time to finish the last few jobs on the project list..

So here is the finished article:

After the change to the cooling system and plumbing, the standard header tank and its 3 connections is now redundant. So does anyone have a single connection header tank with the same cap (15 lbs) and fitting to swap plastic or ally? I have simply blanked off the two redundant connections for the moment as seen below:

All I will say is the pre fest dyno is in the planned ball park....! So looking forward to running it there after a few more miles on the engine!

Chris what's the purpose of the gauge, fuel pressure or temp ? Also what ignition system have you got on there, is that what we call hot wire? At present mine just scoops the air in with no flapper or hot wire. John.

Hi John

The gauge is on top of a adjusable fuel pressure rugulator not a FSE one so fuel pressure.

I have the 500 Griffith hotwire system with a Bosch oversize AFM with large bore matching plenum.

If you have no AFM then I would guess you have a after market mappable system like Emerald - Megasquirt etc and throttle bodies ..... do you have coil packs and a redundant dizzy?

Yes,I have an ageing DTA mappable ecu ,the distributor was removed and capped off with coil packs being added, just fitted an FSE adustable fuel pressure regulator but I don't leave the gauge on once its set up. Waiting to set up again on rr, trying to pin these guys down is like trying to swat a nats nuts.
