If I recall correctly, the 200 had wind-up rather than electric windows and no PAS? Also it's about 90% the weight of a 2.8 but with 66% of the power, so you'd really have to want one
Like anything else, I guess you have to make your own mind up on how much a thing is worth to you... but with a rolling chassis of a 350i on Ebay at £350 last time I checked, and that having a damaged shell, no engine or box, a milky windscreen and very little else, a complete 200 must be worth significantly more than that.

The standard Pinto engine only pushes out 105BHP so it's not fast. The engine is lighter so some would argue the handling is better. It will be the cheapest and easiest to run/fix.
Loads you can do with a Pinto engine to get more power....you could even drop in a YB Cosworth Turbo. Good for 220BHP as standard.
Oh and it does have electric windows. These were the option you had to have!!
Cheers Steve

Is partly correct the last 200 for sale was the FHC which was discused last year, but did not sell then! It was put up again early this year and sold for I think £1100 but that needed a full rebuild.
The 200 was originaly marketed by TVR with not having electric windows, but they all had them fitted as a factory fitted option (No Choice) as TVR didn't have a manual system.
The value of a 200 today is an awkward one!
In the collecters market because of its rearety its worth the same as a 350i.
But in the normal market market were some people are only concerned with bang for your buck then they are valued less.
It's the same as a 280i against a 350i the 350i will sell better,
A prime example is a FHC against a convertible the convertible will sell easier.
Take Stu 280iFHC that has not sold but if it was a 350iFHC it would have sold by now!
Paul has more chance of selling it as it's a convertible than a FHC. But the price will depend on condition and finding somebody who's interested in the model history more than BHP.
Yes its a car missing from my collection but garage space is a problem at the moment so I will not be a strong buyer!

Your not wrong, but I currently own 3 Wedge and a workhorse, always difficult to justify buying more of these even though I love them.beacon said:
Fantastic,

Ironic really, as I spent ages waiting for a 200 and now I have seen two that look great , both in JP livery, the fixedhead going out to Germany for resale, wonder if that one has sold now ?
Anyway I watch with interest to see where this one ends up and wish you the best with your sale
