Noticed the car handling a bit odd so looked underneath to find one of my Steve heath drop links has disappeared! the bottom rose joint had snapped and the top half of the drop link has gone from the anti roll bar altogether.
I understand Steve does not do anything now. does anyone have one knocking about in their garage?

Same just happened to me, bottom rose joint snapped but the top piece stayed where it was as it was rusted onto the ARB. I've struggled to find the right bottom rose joints as they're narrower than usual ones. I've now found the right rose joints ( http://www.rod-ends.co.uk/?gclid=CNykpbnls7YCFUfMt... - product R3553 with 8mm hole for anyone that's interested).

In the meantime I ordered some Superflex poly bushes and refitted the standard droplinks. I'm currently undecided whether to put the SH ones back on but will let you know if I decide not to.

Same here - I just spotted a busted one! I'm going to dig through my bits to see if I have a spare but I think maybe not.

Steve used to do repair kits for them but if he's stopped trading that's the end of that - good job I saved the original cortina ones.

Hi Simon.
Thanks for that.
I was wondering about poly bushing the old ones as its the second time I have broken a rose joint. Steve replaced it last time as he was still operational, but they did work well when fitted.

Thanks Adam.
I will have to dig out the old ones.
I would be interested to know how the poly bushes compare to Steve's for performance.

Thanks Simon,That's interesting. I felt putting Steve's on it really stiffened the front end up on mine, perhaps poly bushes are the way to go?

Well it seems like I planned ahead and actually I bought a spare pair of drop links from Steve before he shut up shop. However I only have one complete one and that's going on my car! The other one was robbed for the banjo bolt.

I only found them today while looking for a spare tail pipe in the garage because mine had dropped off on the way home tonight - more desperate welding round corners to bodge on a temporary pipe and I've ordered parts for a stainless section to replace it completely - at least I can weld this up off the car and make a neat job of it.
