hallo Gents,
I had a MOT failure because of the lower bush rear suspension (420 SEAC).
These rubber bushes do have a outer and inner steel tube . Outside dia is 27 mm . inside is 12.5 mm and lenght is 45-50 mm.

where can I order these?

kind regards and see you on BBWF in three weeks time.

I did all my bushes from RT Racing, did nylon bushes with the steel jubes on the inside,he recommended them as better than poly ones. have to say more than happy with the results.

Cantus, if you can find a supplier of those bushes you'll be doing better than me; I've been trying for a year.
The nearest solution I've found is the right ID and OD but too long so could be cut down on a lathe.
The bush is actually 1/2" ID (12.7mm), the outer sleeve is 45mm (1-11/16")long and the inner sleeve 50mm (2")long - diameter is, as you say, 27mm (1-1/16").
Rumour has it they were TVR specials made by a long-gone firm but I find it hard to believe that in the mid-80s TVR would have asked for an Imperial-sized bush, everything was going Metric by that time so I have no doubt they were left-overs from the Sherpa van or a milk float or some such...

I used Nylon bushes from RT a while ago and remember having to find a man with a lathe to turn down one of them, rear end Nylon bush kit and nuts and bolts were a for A arms and hub carriers were a healthy old price then.

Ok, so it is difficult to find the original.
I HAVE to find a solution before BBW.
I keep you updated about my search.
