A last minute plea!
Discussion
Hi Peeps..As you know it is not long now until this years BBWF which i must add im really looking forward to...But there is a concern that the figures are not adding up as far as the food...Memorabilia...Auctionable items...Rolling road..ETC...Looking at who's coming does seem to be the majority of you who frequent this forum but i know there are some who prefer just to read so i ask if you can put your name down then please do...Come and enjoy a weekend with good people..A time to relax and exchange knowledge and funny stories..Meet the man who designed our cars..Who i must add is a larger than life likeable character...Make some noise on the rolling road..So what if its disappointing...last year mine only made 107bhp...But i made 119db..So this year im back for redemption..(I hope)..Its a once a year event but like most of these things it takes a lot of organising and effort to pull it all together and the reward for this hard work is the day itself...This year could determine the fate of future BBWF's...I know Andy loves putting it all together and tries his upmost to make it a special day for us but it is a very frustrating and worrying process..Especially if you have invested money as well as time into such an event and then the figures dont add up..If Andy pulls out next year who will volunteer themselves to run it???...So please put yor name down if it isnt already...The food has been well scrummy the last two year's and value for money...The quality of the shirts are very good..The company is fantastic and the cars are awesome so what are you waiting for...Cheers...Ziga

Any chance of things still going on when I arrive at 5pm on the saturday?
I work till 3:30pm so can't make it earlier sadly.
The evening stuff was all good fun, but a bit of an anti climax when I'd put in for the "noisiest wedge" in 2011 and the man with the dB meter had gone before I even arrived.
Joys of being self employed and the only person who works sadly, but would be nice if SOME of the "main event" could still be availiable on the Sat eve or Sunday.
I might be there this year.....time will tell.

Hi Norman..Well if you are the boss then ask yourself if you can either have the day off or leave a bit earlier..Im sure you will let you..
There is always the bar propping which happens from 4pm onwards...People start gathering in the main room around 6-7pm ..Although im not sure what time the meal will be served..Not sure how long the traders will hang around but im sure someone will have a db meter for the late comers...last year it was planned that we all go for brekkie and a visit to a museum on the sunday and then people go their own way from there but no-one bothered to put their names down..I supposed most needed to get going due to the driving home involved..Let me know if you want me to bring them bits with me that i have had for the last couple of years!!...
...Cheers...Ziga

...Cheers...ZigaHey Zig!
I'm working as hard as I can to get my wedge on the road in time for BBWF. I may even be bringing some non-wedge friends in a spitfire and an MX5 whom I might be able to convince to have a go on the rolling road
I have done events promotions in the past and understand the stress involved.
I only hope I can make it there!
Bob

Things have normaly wound down by 5.00pm I am afraid.
But the man with the sound meter will still be there as BBWF now has it's own sound meter!
But the competition will have finished by 5.00pm but we can still do a sound reading for you no problem, it's the least we can do!
