350i Rev Counter not working

Hi All

Can anyone help with my C reg 350i Rev counter.

As far as I can tell its got the original wiring. Tried new rev counter still no joy.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Is it wired in correctly?

I have tried wiring a new Rev counter directly to the coil and still no luck, going to try it on another car just to make sure it works.
The existing wiring is exactly as wiring diagram.

Has the coil been wired in reverse (ie ignition amp triggering the (+) instead of (-) terminal) ?
