I drove the SEAC just after it had been done but not having driven a standard one I can't really compare. BUT it did handle very well for a car of that era, more like my Griffith (not quite as planted) which also has Notrons so I'd guess it's an improvement over standard.
I'm intending to do a back to back to do a comparison.

Hi David
You are more than welcome to give my SEAC a try to see if its the same.
Especally if it will help people like Rob to find out if there is a differance without having the cost of the upgrade and then find there's no real differance!
Andy
My SX, as you probably well know Rob still has ( i think ) the factory fitted koni shocks ( would that be right people?) and could well benifit from a new set of shocks and springs, now the question is do I go the nitrons which will need a chassis alteration, from my understanding or the gaz bolt straight on option......
My plan is to collect every thing I need and do a body off full resto in a year or two (I'm having too much fun driving it for now)
Cheers

I've not seen the actual coil over conversion so Im not commenting on how that one is done, but would just say it needs to be carefully thought out, as it puts loads in places that wern't originally designed for them.
when the racers went coil over we bent lots of mounts, wishbones and bits of chassis before we got it right..

Gotta say Mr Tank - your sarcasm is beginning to annoy me

Is it not fair to say that the racers were exerting more forces onto the suspension points than a road car would hence the bent mounts and wishbones etc? I copied a racer front set up welding brackets onto the chassis for a stronger upper mount whereby the car feels a lot more planted than before it collapsed using the SH Coilover mod. Assuming the work was done to high standard - something Track v Road are known for - their Nitron mod is a sound investment if you want to push your car to its limit - safely of course...when the racers went coil over we bent lots of mounts, wishbones and bits of chassis before we got it right..
Rob, I am sure you will be pleased with the results, it transformed my car
When Ian, at Track V Road, first suggested the upgrade I could never believed the difference it would make, not only at speed but pottering around as well.
It is by far the best money I have spent so far on the car and would recommend it to anyone
I look forward to hearing your thoughts once it is done
Anthony
