Hi Peeps..Well i thought i should do a pre-fest check as you never know..Some of the clips on the silicone on the blower pipe are a bit naff so i thought a quick blip down to howlfrauds....Got 100 yards down the road and she conked out and wouldnt start...This happened at the ford garage and turned out to be the rotor arm smashed into bits..Sure enough removed the dizzy cap and the rotor arm was snapped in half..The pipe above the dizzy was slightly touching the cap and so when i close the bonnet it must cause it to move enough for the arm to catch and break...I have moved the pipe back a pinch but will need to get some more or possibly a piece made up so that it clears it totally..Wasted two hours but luckily enough a neighbour saw me and brought me a cold drink back..Couldnt find any rotor arms locally so had to use the RAC..He couldnt find any either and when i asked him where he is he said just finishing a call out to dartford...Result...He was round the corner from the ford garage who has ample stock...They gave him a couple FOC and im back on the road again..looks like the TVR gods were looking down on me again...Cheers...Ziga

I did wonder when it first happened HTF!!...But it soon became apparent that the intake pipe for the supercharger was too close to the dizzy cap so when i closed the bonnet it has moved the cap enough to cause the rotor arm to snag and get smashed in half...I shall carry a spare now even though i have moved the pipe back a tad...Cheers...Ziga

I'm surprised it didn't smash or at least crack the dizzy cap as well - probably worth a close look....
