Ive had the odd dickbrain who just has to get in front of me..Even if it means them going on the other side of the road....I normally just ignore them..Although a few days a go i had someone who kept dropping back and then speeding up behind me..So i slowed down enough to put her in 1st gear and then give it a medium to heavy boot and when they saw how quick i took off they kept their distance..I dont normally bite at tts but on occassion i do...Ziga

It's just that for that "Hey, I raced a real TVR yesterday" moment I reckon. I don't bother much either with the idiots, just let them go past. In a 2.8, it's not all that fast compared to the modern turbo nutter b..stard cars anyway, but they don't know that of course.

Wait till they stop next to you at a traffic light, then light up the back tyres and do the first 10 yards before they've even moved. Even if they then get past they know their FWD shopping cart can't beat you off the line.

I had a few instances of pulling alongside other cars at traffic lights yesterday, with the 5 litre nicely burbling at 800 rpm, lumpy idle as usual. A few admiring glances from kids...
Got a really enthusistic "go-on " and a big grin from a Ford Focus driver, so gave in and booted it on green, setting off with a nice weave, a neat 11 (though it felt like a 33 as I did it), and 40 in about 3 seconds.
Big grin on both our faces.....and I settled down to behaving myself again.
Both my dogs looked a bit surprised...
