A couple of weekends ago I was driving between Moreton in Marsh and Stow on the Fosse Way and a lovely Wedge drove passed. As he did, I flashed and waved and he blanked me. I was driving a BMW.

Two days later I was driving passed the Rollrights and another Wesge went passed. As he did so I waved and got a cheery wave back. I was in a rental transit.

One was silver and the other maroon but I can no longer recall which was which.

Do snobs call you.."Geezer".."Fella".."Sunshine"..Or.."C**t"..I think not old chap..One would only use such vulgarity if one was to drive an iconic beastly sloped fronted sports car which represents the hoorah henries of the 1980's..Yet also a very productive and true spirited time here in blighty..Bloody ruffians...laugh
No..I think you may of passed someone leaving the wedgefest an un-happy bunny as certain points of interest for them was missing...Therefore creating a momemt of up your bks...hehe..We are normally a nice bunch of bastids....Ziga

Nobody waves back to me either when in the M3, and few wave to me in the Corvette too (overgrown MR2 perhaps? lol)

I have both. A V8 Wedge and a V8 BMW. One's a 4 litre convertible, the other a 4.5 litre convertible. So what does that make me? Answers on a postcard!

The only snobs I know are the tricky buggers that won't wipe off when the lid is down in the winter.

I think if you want a response with a split second wave, it would need to apparent you have something in commen.
I like to think im a friendly chap, but if anyone in a merc BMW Audi etc waved,
I probably just think they knew me, it's not a snob thing, I have a BMW myself and wouldn't wave at a wedge,
But I again live miles away from any wedges, so that ain't gonna happen anytime soon.

Not driven one in a while, but 13 years ago I worked somewhere where our department had a 530i as a pool car, and I thrashed it up and down the motorway to suppliers of test equipment and automation, quite a lot. In fact the thrashing I gave it, it would have been cheaper to rent a diesel (or even a moderate petrol) for the day. I did notice that there was no point using indicators on the motorway, as it just gave people the opportunity to close the gap you wanted to move into.

Earns ?

You assume that a) he's not been given the cash, b) stolen it/them c) has them both on HP and d) has more debt than a man like to admit to having.

When you want something bad enough, earnings don't even come into it. You'll find a way of acquiring it. I love these two cars because they are both so powerful, but deliver the power in such different ways. The V8 BMW delivers immense power, smoothly and quietly. The Wedge delivers immense raw power loudly. They both have one thing in common. Road presence.
