Ian..WTF are you doing..Remember..Baseball bat + Ski mask = Pain...Why dont you just spend the money on the wedge and stop farting around with crap cars..You have a rare wedge that needs sorting and once it is sorted you will enjoy it more..So FFS get rid of the hair dryer powered golf buggy and sort out the real mans car..Who in there right mind is going to compliment you in that other than chavs and slap girls..(No offence to either)..You are making my eye twitch now..Ziga

rofl Not sure how I can respond to that Mark, brilliant, and well said, thank you, I think that is what I needed. Right, who wants to buy an r5 ????? biggrin
I suppose my only excuse is that for a hobby I buy and sell classic cars, mainly classic minis as you know mate but this R5 (oh blimey, I'm even abbreviating it now like some 18 year old cool ) came up for sale and as it is a minter I just couldn't refuse. Also I craved one 20 years ago and never got the opportunity to have one. Ok, Ok, these are all excuses, fair play, somebody now shoot me !!!!!!!

How's Delilah now mate anyway ?

The lakeside cruise and now a r5 turbo what have you been taking? Just because we live in Essex Ian it's not compulsory to be a chav. You'll be wearing your jeans round your knees and a back to front baseball cap soon init. biggrin

rofl please forgive me mate, I'll be better soon.

Actually a very good tip to all, buy an R5 GT TURBO (keep in mind to sell it on quickly though) and then I guarantee SWMBO will suddenly love a TVR. Just say that you are thinking of selling the TVR for the Renault and you'll get a reply something like :-
"hate it, really hate it. Feels very unsafe compared to your TVR, I have grown to really like the wedge to be honest and that tin box is awful..." rofl

Back in '88 a few months after we bought our 280i, it had to go back to the TVR dealer for some work, and they gave us a R5 GT Turbo as a loaner. Absolutely mental - hit 3,500 rpm and it just took off... probably because it also weighed next to nothing, the body being made from tin foil. I'm amazed that any are still around, as I'd have thought they've all been wrecked or rusted into oblivion.

Hi Number 7, I have to say that this one is mint. It's had some work as it produces 135bhp but luckily other than the exhaust it is totally standard. I'll post a pic up as long as I don't get shot by everyone else !!! rofl
Happy days..................

I've got no probs being in that - if I can cope with driving a Figaro without a disguise, the R5 would be fine. Did they not do a Raid (sp?) special edition as well? Definitely need pics.

Number 7 and Hallsie, I'm not sure if you fellas are taking the pcensoreds or not rofl what nice comments biggrin

Yes they did do a Raider which was top of the range at the time. Mine is a phase 1.5, black, it's basically a phase 1 with a phase 2 (intercooled engine) so they referred to them as a phase 1.5. It is a minter and I will post pics. It's for sale too chaps ? biggrin
Stu, did you get my e-mail long ago about the WUR ? I still have it mate, PM me your address and I will post it mate.

Regards
Ian
