Hi

are the bearings for the rear axle hard to find ??
(Ford Granada MKII for the 1986 Wedge)
overhere they where not easy to find,
found two sets so far,,maybe a few more, but that is it,
One set will be used on my car,the other set is spareparts,
if anyone needs one?

Hi Rudy

If you have a spare set with the 2 seals needed for each bearing I will have them off you when you come over on the 7th Sept fella?

Cheers

The bearings are reasonably easy to get - it's the extra seal that's the tricky bit.

As the rubber seals are nowhere to be found,I am thinking off working out the section for the seals to dia 75 mm,these rubber seals (75 /50/10)are not rare at all, only problem is to machine the hub holder, once the set-up is ok it is now a matter off minutes,

original seals are 74/50/8 made special for Ford

Wouldn't it be safer to turn the seals down to 74mm?

Adam
That is my first idea,I am just waiting(seals arrive tomorrow, aprox 3 euros a piece) to see how the seals look like and check how thick the rubber is over the metal housing,
Hope I explained it wright, could also post a picture when starting with new seals,

Yes I know exactly what you mean. Also I have seen some other remanufactured ones which are the correct size, of which I bought a few, but they only come up occasionally.
