there is no indication on my oil pressure VDO gauge of units...its calibrated 0 to 5. Is this PSI or Bar?

Bar I would say.... you'd need a lot more than 5psi of oil pressure I hope

1 bar is near as dammit 15 psi. Generally You should have around 1 bar at idle warm and 2+ bar at 2500 rpm warm. smile

True - in the case of the RV8. Suzuki bike engines used to have ball-bearings on the crankshaft (even the 4-strokes) and ran a high-volume but low-pressure oil system that delivered about 2psi eek

My vdo gauge shows 1-5 adding a zero to the end seems to be right. Psi.
