Hi Peeps..Dont think i should of talked about getting rid of Delilah the other day!..She broke down on sunday and at first it felt like the clutch cable had snapped which it has done every year around the same time but on closer inspection the cable was attached at the arm end and the pedal end, So it was a suspected release arm failure....Saw a nice 390SE go passed with the driver grinning like a cheshire cat..(smash)..I waited three hours for the recovery..Had to pay an extra 56 smackers on top of my free recovery..Pah!..Monday morning found a local garage that repairs gearboxes, Had to wait until 2.30pm for the recovery vehicle who took it to the garage..Another 40 sobbers..Got her back this morning after parting with 132 squids only to be told it was the cable that had snapped halfway up the outer cable..
..Its a pig of a job but i could of sorted it in the time i was waiting for the recovery in the first place...I have all the bits..The garage did actually also sort the cup bearing on the gear stick so its not like stirring a bucket full of porridge with a pencil anymore..The only downside to it all is that im going to have to find someone to make a proper cable up and fit it myself..I hate wasting money!!!...
