Hi guys

I'm a bit embarrassed to ask but the shockers on my car look adjustable
Via a thread and a large nut round the circumference.
The nut has lugs so you can tap it round I guess.

I can't find anything like this online when I look.

Are they adjustable?? I really feel I should know this, but I simply have never had anything like this on a car before.

Is any if this making sense?

That'll be ride height adjustment - you need what's called a C spanner to adjust - cheap to buy online. basically it lets you adjust how low or high the car sits. I have "adjusted" them before using a drift and hammer but really not recommended as it buggers the lugs! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/C-SPANNERS-SHOCKS-COILOV...

You may also have a little knob on the base of the shock that rotates a click at a time - if you have it adjusts firmness of the dampers so basically whether the car rides soft or hard or anywhere inbetween wink

Sorry I don't know the answer to this. I set the height so there is about 3 inches clearance between wheel arch and the top of the wheel. Cheers Steve
