I know andy tank has these on the bay at £28. The above says it would fit an xjs 70s - 90s, does anyone know if it would fit a 280i? The web site has no size, but i'll call them tomorrow if nobody knows.

Zig,

Why won't they fit?

Are our axles not an off the shelf Salisbury from Birmingham axle?

What's the big deal with TVR hub nuts?

Well, the fact that the wedge axles use Ford Granada bearings might just be relevant, but they might still fit...there's always LocTite...

I looked into these but couldn't find any sensible specs for torque etc. They look thinner-walled than the bespoke ones we use. The lack of nyloc didn't bother me because I always split-pin anyway, But on balance it looked too dodgy to me and I'd use the Tank ones every time.
