Bought one of the 350i a good while ago. been sat on top of my wardrobe for ages. Picked it up yesterday and the front bumper fell off... How realistic....God I love these cars. Now on the to do list over the winter.

I remember when the front bumper fell of my 350i that's why I found it realistic. I do miss my 350i. It was for sale a while ago, I wish I bought it back.

The back bumper fell off my 350i - was trailing along behind on the motorway....

Will you guys stop going on about bits falling off, you'll get me worried.

Currently trying to locate the seals for the hard top to door glass - apparently discontinued.

Wondering about replacing the door seals too but having tried to do them on a Lotus Excel a while back (without any great success) I'm doubtful (might buy some wellies).
Keep looking down the footwell and wondering how I get my old body to reach down and remove and replace the steering column bearing, that I'm about to order.
Procrastination, I've been thinking about that word for ages, just cannot decide about it.

Contact D&C Trim for the seals, they will probably have them.

Don't worry Tony only one corner scraped the ground and it was underneath too, so there's a little less fiberglass in one place but it went straight back on with no paint damage ;^) ....after making some new stainless bumper mounts. These cars mostly have easy fixes.

Thought you were adding lightness then you went and stuck some stainless in there....

Ahhh - this brings back memories of regularly tightening the self tappers in the boot floor sides to keep the rear bumper in place.

Saw a guy in a 350 at a track day at brands hatch one day, his front bumper came away (with a little help I think) and then he proceeded to run it over he returned to the pits with it hanging out from the parcel shelf in a very bad way (NFG).

I couldnt believe it when I found the self tappers as my bumper started to work loose.

I put in 100 grams of stainless brackets but took out 1 kg of 4" diameter steel washers that were packing out the bumper gaps.... so now it only weighs 1099.1kg... ;^)

I bought en smts model Griffith kit to build about 10 years ago and when I'd finished it took pride and place on the window sill all gleaming purple, I came home one day and the wife was very teary so eventually she blurted out that whilst doing the cleaning she'd caught it with the duster and knocked it off the sill, well you should have seen it ,flattened windscreen and etched bits missing I was a bit miffed.
Anyway a phone call to smts and a couple of weeks later all fixed and still safe today. Wooly
