V8 Ignition

Ok, without jumping into a Megasquirt setup, what is regarded as the best ignition setup for a V8 Wedge in a standard state of tune to get the most out of it ?

Contactless Distributor? .... Magnicor Leads ? .... Coil ??

I have Mallory Unilite Dizzy & Coil. So far no issues very easy to setup and to maintain.

Can't comment on the standard set up as I don't have one, but I would definitely not use Mag leads. Been there, done that, several leads broke so I slung them and bought a Moroso kit from Real Steel.
