My wedge looking a bit soggy at the Pre 67 Ford show at Lochwinnoch today:

It was a good day despite torrential rain. The car is running great, I have fitted a stainless side exit exhaust from the silencer back...sounds great and saved me a fortune. Since changing the fluids, sorting the alignment and a good clean the car drives great. The old adage about regular use is definitely true. I'm very pleased!!!!

Exits on the near side just before the back wheel. I'll post a couple of pics in the next few days. Got it custom made up here as the budget wasn't stretching to a full system in stainless plus fitting.

What does she sound like with the side exit exhaust ? Louder? Doe you get any resonance (booming) in the cabin ?

As it's after the silencer it doesn't make a massive difference to the decibel level at all. No booming inside either. I went for the side exit as the exhaust manufacturer (C+C in Glasgow) thought the original TVR set up was unnecessarily convoluted. The side exit job in 2 1/2 inch stainless pipe cost £100 plus VAT. I was a bit hesitant at first because of originality issues but to be honest TVR were never purists and my car has been modified with 390 body kit etc so I though "What the Hell!"

I was considering doing this to the "Gredge" one pipe iether side. How much clearance did you get between the pipe and ground when the car is loaded?. We have some agressive road humps down sarf and was a little concerned with clearance.

Some piccys of the underside would be great fella

Will get a few pics for you Chris. The clearance is actually not that much of an issue as the exhaust comes out just before the rear wheel so misses the "apex" of speed bumps.
