Does anyone know the history of this car? Price seems a bit steep to me.

know nothing about the car, but that dealer should know better than to just trot out the TVR sales blurb: 275 bhp indeed. Says very little about the actual car oar sale.

It has good service and mot history he sent me over dates they were done. Previous owner done brakes and suspension. The andy rouse being attached to the car seems to be putting the price up, as well as only 100 made, seems to me to good to be true.

I think this one has been for sale for some time?

Lovely colour and looks in good nick. But why oh why would someone have those silver bits? Would look fantastic all one colour IMHO.

Each to their own though biggrin

Yeah that's only thing that was putting me off, I am sure having them painted them the same colour wouldn't be an issue , the price seems a bit high don't you think ?

I think the price is ok if it's negotiable. There's a nice 390 for sale on car and classic, burgundy I think £5800?

Can't do links with this old iPad. But I'm sure someone on here wanted a look but it was to far away, Wales I think?

Karl.

Looks like Track v Road is selling it, not far from me, from what I've heard they are a good bunch down there.

Think the tax and mot run out in July, maybe could the reason for price drop.

Stunning!

Hard to improve on that really. Makes you wonder why the other one had the paint job?

Priced a bit high! I think not especially as we've had so many posts on here hoping to see the prices of ours rise, we cant have it both ways.

Ian

I think that's part of the attraction biggrin you can keep playing as long as you own them?

Little thought on the price of them high or low.

For the first time in many years mine has been the first car I bought without thinking it was a good deal and would be worth more when I come to sell it!

I bought it as I'd always wanted one and the guy who sold it me had I in an underground garage. He started it up and it was coming home with me and that was that.

I can't see me parting with it any time soon and if I did I recon I will be at least £1500 out of pocket. But as there is very little chance of finding a very bright coloured 450se to replace it I doubt I will be losing any money?

For me it's a form of entertainment. would I buy one if I wasn't capable of doing most/some of the work myself? Not a chance unless I developed considerable deeper pocketsbiggrin

Get one bought and cancel your Sky subscriptions! Far more entertainment value for money biggrin don't worry about what it will be worth in the future just enjoy... And meet a great bunch of like minded individuals in the process.

Karl..

Looks like a popular colour for a 390SE and will be interesting to see if it sells quickly or if the price gets reduced before it sells.

Here's mine though not as nice condition.

Both prices look reasonable to me. Assuming that the cars are OK, one is a private sale and one from a dealer. If you like either car make a bid.

The thread title is a little misleading - the car is rare in that all 390SEs are rare cars but this is a standard 390SE.
