400se been off the rd for 6 years. Strange colour combo interior/exterior. But looks good in the picks. Guy has it advertised elsewhere for 4k which seems pretty cheap?
Does anyone know this one? If I had a bit more spare cash and room I'd be going for a mooch tomorrow.

It was resprayed about 10 years ago apparently but no signs of it being a different colour. Just seems strange having red piping on the seats?
Love the colour though.
God I want a 400 and someday a 450. Oh and while I'm praying to the petrol gods a Grif 4.3 BV.
Yeah its not your usual colour combo! I would take the wheels thoughLove the colour though.

It does put me off of something straight away when the seller can't be bothered to do something as simple loading the photo the correct way round - not the greatest of pics either. Isn't the rear valance / bumper just a 350 style - and that exhaust does look rather odd. I think the wheels were an option on the SEAC - I've got a brochure for the 420 with them on.
The question is, why would someone go to the trouble of fitting that rear end. Just removing the bonded in version must have been a big job. Accident and no original style section available?

Wrong rear bumper, wrong wheels, wrong colour, worn seats, no service history, yet only 22000 miles.

I retract my last statement.
To all of the usuall naysayers, go and have a look at the car, but DO NOT take a pocket full of cash as YOU WILL be relieved of said cash, its in better condition than pretty much EVERY car Ive seen at the last few BBWFs....
In fact, Ive been trying to convince the guy to keep it as he will very much regret selling it, and Ive also offered to help him get it back on the road.
if anyone wants any more information on the car, message me.
Or in fact, if anyone wants my 350i FHC 2+2 on a quick sale then also message me...

I hear what you're saying and that it appears to be in good condition, and I hate to sound negative, but a car that's been standing for seven years, especially a car like a V8 Wedge can spell trouble. I once bought a V8 Wedge that had been standing for five years. It appeared in good overall condition, but when I started using it, it was like throwing money into a bottomless pit. That's just my opinion. Others in the know may see it differently. Okay, the wheels, some body panels and exhaust may be "wrong" but it appears to be a lovely base unit as per someone who's actually viewed it.
Buy it, fettle it, cherish it - I know many people on here have the necessary skill and know how.
Get it buyed and bought!
