My jobs for this winter are:-
Get my auto-electrician mate to sort out the wiring especially the oil pressure sender and gauge, the temperature gauge and fuel gauge. I dont want to be able to make my wedge go from empty to full just by putting the handbrake on!
I also need to look at the wiring to the drivers window (only works with the engine running and the door closed)
I also need to source and fit a replacement for my handbrake grip.

Well mine is being used as my daily car so its just general maintenence although getting the heater to work properly would be nice, also passenger side window is as slow as this so called economic recovery!!

Well…Where to start…

DELILAH:
O/S fuel tank breather need's sorting..
Handbrake housing needs straightening and welding..
Re-trim & New hood.
Clutch pedal modification.
She really needs a body off so i can clean and re-paint the chassis.
O/S sway bar bush needs doing.
UJ's need replacing.
Diff cradle bushes need replacing.
Check front brake pads.

POPPY:
First thing I'm doing is getting the seats re-trimmed and the seat height adjusted a tad.
Wheels refurbed.
Some engine detailing.

Going to have to juggle between the two…Should be fun…Cheers…Ziga

Goldfinger Taimar :-
drive it

Blue FHC :-

body off, chassis either refurbed and powdercoated baby blue, or work out how to pop the 390se chassis under there.
while its out, heads off and stage 2/3
cam changed
possibly paint the body and have the later type bumper fitted
send the interior off for re covering.....
new carpets and door seals for sure.
powdercoat the door frames after a bit of welding

Should take around 4 months so itll be back on the road for April time!!!

Drive it, no lavishing here. Dry + cold + flapper = magnificent RV8 soundtrack, shotgun cracks on the upshift at 5k rpm. No leaves = good sight lines on interesting roads, cold tarmac is a bit of a problem though (tyres don't really work below 8'C or so). Few cyclists and even fewer bikers.

Must get the heater working.

Er...paperbag

My list is getting longer, not shorter. Just opened an account at BOC so I can get another bottle of Argon for my TIG set so I can weld the LH fuel tank back together. Couldn't wangle it through the company as we have no fabrication planned for the foreseeable future.

Essentially I need to fix the tank, repaint the chassis and refit the exhaust and entire drivetrain from the gearbox back. When you say it like that it sounds like a morning's work rolleyes

I've sorted out the best pair of spare rear shocks I have; they could go on as they are but I think a swift coat of the right shade of Vermilion would make them look even better...
Still trying and failing to locate the tie-rod bushes but have a spare pair of tie-rods with Poly bushes fitted so they may have to go on for now...
Once it's back on its wheels I'll have to drop the engine oil as there's been a weep from the thermostat housing for as long as its been parked; I'm concerned the water may have found its way past the valley gasket and ended up in the sump so I don't want to turn the key until I know for sure.
I may fit new seatbelts, haven't decided yet.
Alloy heater controls to go on biggrin

The later bumpers on that with your 390SE rear diffuser would finish it off fantastic - you gotta do it!

Ditto, plus subject to time play with the breathing (plenum) play with the blowing (might mod the exhaust), tidy the engine bay, some ideas for the cooling, that's the hit list so far !!!!!

Interior. Carpets, headliner, seals, suspension, a new wrap.
Other than that....just drive it.

Try to drive it as due to roadworks I can not get on to the public road. Probably until January eek
Booked it by the mid of January to receive a new roof (the original is nearly more duck tape and transparent stuff then anything else), so hopefully I can take zwelgje to the location to get it done.

So winter job is basically wait and look at it.....
It will get driven in the winter as soon as it has a new roof, without the roof up of course.
Then lets see what needs to be done. Probably another drive as it is in a good technical condition.

New brake pads all round. Clean off, check and re-paint the outriggers.

As I have hardly driven it this year I hope to get out and drive it on some of the cold, sunny winter days smile
