Just some thinking...after I've finished the wedge (which I will never sell) I can't help but feel I should get another one...I've had another car alongside the wedge for a while now and I really like the Maserati but wonder if another TVR would be good??

Any thoughts?

Either that or I build something....(which would not go down too well with SWMBO! smile

Chimaera.

The trouble is when you're faced with the dilemma of which to take out, it will always be the Chim. The Wedge will get angry.

Mmmm…I think there is nothing wrong with owning as many TVR's as you can afford but they will get neglected somewhere along the line…You can only drive one at a time so its best to have one that makes you grin more than anything else..Or one that scares the pants off of you every time you drive it…When i eventually get used to the V8 i think i will go the Griff engine route for massive brown trousers….biggrin

I suppose a different kind of car but with the same or more performance would be a nice edition but again would it make the others redundant?….Ziga

A bigger Wedge......

Cerebra would be my weapon of choice. Seen what they can do to the rest.

I've got a Vixen S3 in the garage with my wedge - haven't finished the rebuild yet.

I reckon it's simple. As my wedge always leaks in the rain (the front corners of the roof panel, side windows and windscreen) no matter what I do.

Wedge if Sunny, Vixen if raining....both generate the TVR grin.

Another wedge. Make sure the MOT's are staggered by a few months so you can rob parts off one to get the other one through (same applies for emergency things that break...)

Insurance is pretty cheap if the second car is on 1500 miles a year.

I had a Wedge and a Cerb living next to each other for 3 years and I must say they complemented each other wonderfully well. The Cerb for out and out scare you to death performance (with of course the practicalities of a permanently fixed on roof) and the Wedge for those sunny days and THAT noise.
I drove both in equal measure- neither was neglected and both provided an enormous amount of fun.

Interesting thoughts chaps...

Chim...maybe, but that might be too similar to a wedge..ie I would use it for the same things...griff, same thing really.

Tuscan or tamora. ..I like the idea of...

Cerbera has crossed my mind! Only concern is the roof doesn't come off. Thats the biggest challenge with the maserati as I can feel like I want the sunshine!

Building a car is defo a serious thought. I like the mev sonic 7... (preparing to get shot down in flames! )

A maserati spyder would be an awsome car for handeling and noise factor but dont know what spares or fixability would be like.

Sorry for hijacking the thread. I have a Tuscan and a Chim....next one on the list is a Wedge...which one to compliment the collection. Mission is to have five TVR's for grins and just to allow other people to see these beautiful machines of art.

@OP

Worth trying a Griff 500, but if not then T350T might tick the boxes.

I have a 4 litre Wedge and a 4.5 litre open top BMW. Two totally different cars but both have ample power, both are V8, and both are fun to drive in different ways. Depending on what mood I'm in, I take out the car to suit the occasion. If SWMBO is doing my head in, I normally take the the Wedge out, as powering it through the gears eases my frustration. If I'm in a relaxed mood I take out the V8 BMW and just cruise, with the occasional kick down just to test the G forces.

Well, as I'd got the Wedge for top-down motoring I opted for a Cerbera for full-out fun! driving

Another TVR? Nah. too similar. A nice early Mini pick-up with the rubber cone suspension, slightly oversize wheels, 1 1/2" SU, 1100 engine, 1300 head, fast(ish) road cam.

Can I have my old one back please?
