Poppy starting to mis-behave..

Hi Peeps…Have been driving around this morning and poppy suddenly developed a mis-fire at around 2000rpm when pulling away..And a slight hesitation in 2nd..3rd upwards is fine…
I have changed the plugs and replaced the rotor arm..The correct parts have been used.

Up until recently i have been using tesco pumps but a couple of time i have used the garage round the corner so I'm wondering if its a case of dodgy fuel?…

Possibly dodgy fuel but are you using ordinary unleaded or unleaded plus. The reason why I ask is because if your car was originally tuned to unleaded plus and you are using normal unleaded, it would make a difference. What fuel did the guy you bought it off use? I have had this problem before and using the correct fuel did the trick. It could also be a number of other things, but best to try the simple things first.

I went on hols for a week and Sampson has turned into Poppy !!!! What happened there or didi I get it wrong in the first place.

Well mate, check your vacuum pipe from fuel pressure regulator first mate (remember mine..... )
Then it's a case of checking throttle pot settings, 0.33v at idle progressing rising to 4.3v ish at WOT (ignition on for this test).
Then it's ECU check, multiplug connections etc. etc.
Could be dodgy CTS (£6 fix).
Check all earths are spotless.
Check power resistor readings.
Check all injector connections.

IMHO it would not be anything to do with dodgy petrol.

Hi Mate..Samson was moved on to Mr T and Delilah has found a new love..(The hussie) so its a good job i have a new love in my life..

Thanks for the suggestions guys..When its revved hard there is a groaning sound coming from the AFM…This could be the culprit..So wondering if anyone has a spare AFM..(Small opening) and possibly a spare TPS they don't need?…Cheers…Ziga
