I bought a 430 SE a few months ago and would like to hear from other wedge owners in Basingstoke/Hartley Wintney area.
Does anyone have a wheel insert, 9cm diameter disc
with TVR logo?

Hi there

I regulary drove through Hartley Wintney / Basingstoke in the 350 or 4?0. As work at Hook and live in Reading

There are another couple here who work in Basingstoke - The Colonel and ? - my memories gone now

As for the item you require I seem to remember that on the Wedge pages there was an article linked to RT Racing who were selling item at a discount

Cheers

Paul

Thanks Paul. Will try and find the RT racing number. Already found the previous forum posting and asked if they have a phone number, but they didn't say where RT was in the country

Was that the one that was quoted as being the last wedge made? If it is, then I'm deeply jealous. I was desparate for my numbers to come good so I could buy it. Hope you're enjoying it and let's see some pictures .

I bought it 4 months ago from a guy near Banbury. He had had it a year but had developed a neck injury so couldn't drive i. The car is the last SE made and is I believe one of only 2 or 3 430SE's made. It's Mica Red(maroon)and is in very good condition having done about 40k miles (new mileometer so no exact figure. Would love to show some pics but don't know where to show them. I am near Hants and Surrey areas

AFAIK TVR had stopped making wedges by then really because the Griffs were much cheaper to build and easier to sell but three customers very understandably wanted a new wedge and so three were built with the Griff 4.3l engine. IMHO three of the most desireable Wedges ever built. I always wondered whether they could beat the 250kmph mark; do you know yet?

haven't been brave enough yet to go that fast. Until I get it serviced, I don't want to stretch it in case something nasty happens! I have had it to about 120mph so far. Previous owner got it David Gerald. I think I remember seeing an article in Clasic and Sports car mag about a year ago - we drive our ads - and it was a maroon wedge but I don't know whether it was this particular car. Unfortunately said mag was thrown away, so don't know which month.
