Hey guys,

So, great news is my car is pretty much ready to go back on the road! Just in time for being tucked up for winter... silly

I put new stainless manifolds on her BUT sadly they are too long so my stainless centre section now sits too far down the rear of the car so fouls badly on the chassis and the rear section wont fit... banghead

So, taking the car to Longlife on Saturday for them to make a centre section up...she sounds lovely at the moment but cant help but think i should go slightly louder!

Has anyone ever had one done?? Any advice? smile

Wouldn't it be simpler to chop the pipe to be shorter on the existing one - chop it off, then weld it back on (or even chop it, then use a pipe expander to make a sliding section.)

sort of...BUT, im pants at welding and need to get it done somewhere anyway..

but, bigger problem is that it now fouls badly on the gearbox so needs quite a bit of modifying. Im going to see what they think but have a feeling new is going to be the option.

Hi Matt I had a new ACT centre section made by JP exhausts, I asked Tim for a louder more crisper sound if you get what I mean.. Here's what they came up with....

I have to say between them they came up with a great noise even on tick over the noise is epic !!

looks great! Ive got a stainless section which has been on the car for about 5 years and fitted the stainless rear section and the original manifolds perfectly...sadly though the new manifolds are just too long.

Ive told tim but nothing we can do apparently and im not taking them off the car! So, easiest thing is to get a new one made!

Isnt that loud?! Mine sounded nice and i really dont want to lose that lovely rumble..mine sounded like.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-R_nR8kj-A
