Hello all

Where's the best place to go for an oil filter for the 400SE? The deep one that's about 5 and a half inches tall. Last one I bought on mail order cost more in shipping than the filter itself; total came to around £15 and was of Italian origin. I don't mind paying a bit more for a quality product. No idea whether the Italian unit was quality or dubious - I'd never heard of the name

Thanks

AF

Some useful suggestions of good quality oil filters for the RV8 on this thread... clicky.

Or maybe try one of the V8F fibreglass filters mentioned in this thread... clicky again

I use FRAM OIL FILTER PH2821A's and I usually buy 3 at a time for about £20, so 7 quid each.

Your local Land Rover dealer will sell you one for about £12.

I moved over to K&N glass filters, only because I use them in other classics. I tend not to use fram out of personal preference, I question the quality. But, others don't seem to have an issue so I may just be a little paranoid.
