3 Diode wiring diagram

Hi All

Has anyone got a complete wiring diagram for a 1984 V8 please? This is a car that seems like it should have D3 fitted.

I have the lighting diagram that Ian kindly posted on his site. But the wiring color scheme of my car don't seem to match any of the diagrams in the bible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am almost there with the rest of the FHC now but have one wiring fault on the head lights that is driving me mad. I am convinced its an earth fault because of some of the symptoms I am getting but no matter how many connection I clean/replace or add additional earths to. I'm getting no where!

If anyone has any photos of a 3 diode car relay box that would also be a great help.

I've never worked out why my car has three diodes; I suspect it only needs two but some previous fiddler has used an extra one. D3 doesn't really do anything that D2 and D1 in series don't do. The only thing I came up with was that maybe the voltage drop of the two diodes in series might cause unreliable triggering of the Headlamp Control relay at low battery volts, e.g. with engine off and parked, but how many times you'd actually want to flash the headlamps under those circumstances I can't imagine.
