Hi to you all, Right then here is the plan for this years BBWF 2014.

I have confirmed the dates with Ettington chase which are the 6th...7th...8th of June 2014 and they have managed to secure 78 rooms which consists of 24 on the friday night and 54 on the saturday, Due to a high volume of weddings being booked this year the rates cannot be as cheap as they were last year and are now.

Single = £75 for one night and £65 per night for two nights.
Double = £85 for one night and £75 per night for two nights.

There is also a charge for the use of the hall but if we let them provide the food then they can include it in the price, I have made it clear to them that if we eat from their menu then it MUST be value for money, I will be sent a menu which i will share with you.

The Friday

For those of you arriving on the friday then i shall arrange another meal at the Whitehorse Inn, Hopefully if the weather is on our side then maybe a BBQ.
You will be given a Gold envelope in the bar area at around 18.00hrs which will contain your Zigabling gold VIP bracelet for one or two persons and a Gold coin to be given over when paying, If you dont wear the bling then your not coming in.. smile

The Saturday

Starting from 09.00am.
Rolling road - BHP shoot out
Auto-valet - Concourse car judging.
DB shoot out at 4000rpm.
Traders...(To be confirmed)
Tech talk..(TBC)
Auto-jumble

At 14.00hrs-16.00hrs the yearly runout will be to the Heritage Motor Museum who have designated parking and concessional entry of £8 per person, This fee can be paid in advance to me or on the day but please be aware that if you do pre-pay and don't turn up then the money goes to the beer fund...errr i mean charity, Only joking..You will receive a full refund.

Museum
http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/whats-on-th...

Hopefully they can give us a good price on lunch if we choose to eat there as I'm going to try to cater for some food to be available wether at the museum or the Chase in the afternoon.

Back to the chase for the evenings entertainment.

Slap up meal...(See the "who's coming" post)
Raffle
Charity auction
Dodgy dancing competition hosted by Adam Q.
Live Music
1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards for shoot out..Concourse car and loudest car given out.
"Tug of war" on the green.

The Sunday

I have organised a day at the Shakespeare raceway which will start from 10.00am-17.00hrs, Again we have designated parking and the fees will be concessional depending on numbers.

It shouldn't cost no more than £35 including entry fee and racing all day or as long as you want, Obviously for just entry to the venue it will be around £10, There is some events happening on the same weekend which will make good viewing, However for those of you who want to burn some rubber then the raceway will organise a knockout drag race with your own set of RWYB numbers which will be good for the rest of the year at other Public Track Days.

Im also going to see if we can hold a donut competition there.

You will obviously need to adhere to the raceways rules and bring a crash helmet if you have one, If not then they can be hired...No vehicle leaking ANY fluids will be allowed to run.
I will link to the raceway once i have spoken to them again.

The Raceway.

I will start a "who's coming" and list for attractions in the coming weeks...

I hope you will come along to support the BBWF as its the 10th Anniversary since the first event was set up by a crazy bunch of good guys who we owe thanks to..And thanks to those who have stepped forward to keep the event going...Long live BBWF...Long live TVR's.

Cheers....Ziga

If I'm TVRed up by then, I would love to come.

Ettington Chase is supposed to be the most haunted hotel in The UK (I used to live near there).

Hi Mark,

Thanks for thinking of guys like me that work Saturdays and organising something interesting for the Sunday.

My Mechanic is now in a position to drive the TVR so might see if he wants to attend, and at least my Wedge can be there on the Fri/Sat even if I only turn up sat eve in the XJ Sport.

Would love to see where my wegde comes in the DB shoot out, for a start.

Hi Peeps...Can i have your opinion please..The plan for the entertainment on the saturday night is to have a live band playing a selection of tunes from 70s-80s-90s..Rock...Soul...Funk..Pop..I have a group in mind and have already met with one of the band members who is in to his TVR's although the rest of the band aren't..(Mores the pity)..

Now they don't mind performing for FREE but i can't expect them to travel 180 miles, Pay for rooms and play for nothing...They have agreed to share rooms so that they only need two doubles for one night.

Im hoping that we have at least 40 people at the saturday night meal, The hotel are forwarding me a menu for around £12-15 per head so i was thinking could we stretch it to a £5 more to help towards the bands expenses?...

I have heard them play and you won't be disappointed..Im trying to keep the costs down on everything and still make it a really enjoyable event which is not easy so i will need to be totally transparent with you when it comes to costs and additional funds..

After all this is your BBWF....Thanks ...Ziga

I have had G133PWW (450 SE) for a year now and would love to come along.

Someone has sad that I do drive her a little "sedately", so some tuition from other Wedge owners would be welcome.
