Hi

Yes it's does look good. Plus unlike the wedge based one it has an engine close to the original and appears to be using other more in keeping parts.
But I bet there would be a price differences between them.

Hugely...I think they were looking for around 40K...A bargain when you think an original is probably worth over 1/4 million..But if my lotto numbers come up then i will definitely have one in my collection...cloud9

I think an original is more like 1 million, so 40K for a very impressive replicar is not bad as it would fool a few people!

I remember at the 2010 KImbolton Classic Car Show a replicar jag was awarded best in show smile and it was infact a Volvo based car done by Dave "Plasticman" which made a change from his TVR altered car's

Does look good, and with some of the "C-type" replicas fetching circa £100k could be a good investment.

I can't afford it...

Good aluminium replicas of C/D Types are indeed approaching £100k these days but the very best replicas are anywhere between £250-400k now. Unfortunately, as much as we all like wedges, a fibreglass 350i based rep is never going to be worth much because the Jag folk like their reps to be as authentic as possible. It has to be a XK straight 6 or nothing!

As Mr tank says; a genuine D will set you back £1M as a minimum. Those with the most interesting history and provenance will set you back even more. Anywhere up £5M.

The wedge based one looks like great fun though and you can't ask for much more than that smile
