The sad fact is our cars are worth more in parts than whole, makes no sense.mad

YYG would be sold by Harrogate Horseless Carriages, I would have thought.

No reason a fully painted tub could sit there for years with no ill effects - in some ways it's nice to know there's a spare hanging about.

Gents

I've had a chat with the owner and am going to have a look on Saturday if its still for sale. He has had lots of interest in various bits but none in the whole Tub. It turns out it has a dash in ruff but whole condition. Which is just about all I want as with a bit of luck one of the top guys on here has found me a set of gauges.

Anyway the owner has no time or interest in breaking it down and he wants it gone. Its four miles from me, so if I can get enough interest I may get it back to mine and break it up for the interested parties?

I'm not bothered about making money on this. But I could use the dash and I could do without being out of pocket as well. Or stuck with the whole thingbiggrin

So anyone who wants anything email me telling me what you would like and more importantly how many beer tokens it may be worth. He has already hinted he may let it go a bit cheaper if it's gone soon?

If we can work something out by all paying a few beer tokens each and me and my mate taking it to bits. I'm all for it. The only problem I can see is what to do with the Tub once all the bits are off it?

This is assuming someone else doesn't dive in first.

As for the rest of the car. The chassis fell apart and all the metal bits were scraped or sold on. What a shame!

If someone was really keen I'm sure there was a chassis in the classifieds a few weeks back. But I'd hate to think what it would cost to put backon the rd missing so many parts?

Karl.

When you think how bad most Wedges are at keeping water out. It might be a bit of a challenge to turn one into a hot tubbiggrin

Would look seriously good in the garden though? Doubt the Wife would like it though. She's not overly impressed with the one with wheels.
