Odd question I know....

How big does a Wedge look, compared to modern cars? I'm not after exact measurements, x" by x", it's more of a "what sort of modern car looks about the same size as a Wedge" type question.

My MG Midget seemed not too small when I had one 25 years ago. Now they look like something you put a coin in outside a supermarket.

(non-Wedge owner, but hope to soon be one).

Thanks.

Funny you should ask,I nipped to the shops in mine yesterday, and when I came out I couldn't see it, I walked to where it was and a Toyota avensis was there, I know they are biggish, but I had to get right up to the car, before I could see my wedge tucked behind, it literally looked like I could have put it in the boot of the Toyota! Ha..
I had a 67 MG last year and they are really small!

A really good place to get an unbiased opinionbiggrin

I'm not a great Wedge fan, despite having a 280, but your concerns about your forehead appearing above the windscreen alla Frogeye or Midget can be put to rest.

The design is bulky enough to look normal, what ever normal is.

Also in the Graham Robson books, there is an outline profile which shows that the wedges aren't much different in overall size to the Vixen/M cars, although they do LOOK much larger...

Compared to modern Euroboxes they are very small but alongside the Chim/Griff cars they are slightly bigger & heavier, but not much.
Here's a pic of mine alongside some Euroboxes.......
