When I've seen a useful bit of informaton for my Wedge posted here on the site, I've copied it to my hard disc for reference later. I suspect many of you do the same! As these files were taking up a lot of space, I've now pulled all this information together in one document and bound it together to sit next to my Steve Heath Bible on the bookshelf. The point is, if I find it useful, what about you? I am happy to provide copies of this to any one who wants it (no charge, of course). It's about 60 pages and 500KB and can easily be e-mailed.

Questions:

Is it of interest to anyone?
I've got a reference to the PH handle on every thread. Does anyone object to their handle being published?
I have compiled it under the same chapter headings as the Bible. Steve, do you have any objections?
It refers to the Pistonheads site. Are there any problems with this.
Anybody see any other issues, before I go ahead and circulate it.

Sounds like a good idea to me and would be interested in a copy.

Maybe it could be placed in a repositry on Pistonheads as a source of info so that everyone could easily find it.

Yah great idea, hopefully will save time on trying to find information for those jobs that end up being a nightmare.

I can host it on the TVRbooks site. There are one or two addendums already up there. That way everyone can get at it.

Steve, that's a good idea. It would give a more rapid response than me e-mailing individuals. Let's see what sork of response we get, and how many people are interested.

Great idea -- But having had to pass up the only V-8 in the USA recently, could there be separate engine chapters for V-6 and V-8s? (You were planning on including the lowly V-6s right?) Grady

Yep would love it.Would save a lot of searching etc.
Bet theres loads of Wedg1es' posts.
Get in touch with MikeB i'm sure he could use it.
I have just sent him a 20 page trouble shooting guide/manual for the EFI system thats going on line.
Its a good idea to get all this stuff available to all.

Bang it over and I will gladly host it on the TVRwedgepages site. As Dickie mentioned the Injection .PDF will be uploaded this week for all to download. It makes very interesting reading.

Sounds like could be a fight for who is going to publish this, or both put it up ? Steve / Mike

I thought origianlly PistonHeads might be able to do it as it would then be on the same sight as original post if there were any data protection act infringment etc - just collating them to one managable place

Although I'm sure everyone that has contributed would not mind this sort of thing providing a disclaimer made for any dodgy info !

I agree, there needs to be a disclaimer and I've included one. As soon as I get a reasonable response including the PistonHeads site and a good selection of those who have contributed, I think the best route forward would be to e-mail it to those who have indicated they want a copy plus Steve and Mike to get some feedback on the usefulness, and ensure I don't hit any copyright problems. If it appears acceptable then I don't mind where it is published - after all it's your work and not mine!

As far as separate chapters for the V8 and V6 are concerned, I have mixed all the posts. At this stage there isn't enough data to warrant a split. However, if I keep collecting, who knows???

I started a helpful tips section on the maintenance pages and had the intention of doing something similiar.

I had the intention of putting things up like torque settings and geometry settings etc which is obviously very handy.

i am sure that Ted won't mind as long as you give the site a prominent plug and that a comprehansive disclaimer is put on the whole lot.

The only thing that I advocate is whatever happens to the stuff is that it is distributed FREE or charge for all to see.

Just my 2p's worth.
