Anyone removed the rear exhaust resonators?
Discussion
I'm thinking about removing and sleeving the rear resonators on my 350i.
It's the factory system, with one large centre silencer and two small resonator boxes which exit either side of the rear bumper.
I'm not trying to make it louder (it's already pretty loud), just try and bring out the snarl from 3krpm up.
Our V8 Land Rover has just a single box, and is nice and quiet when cruising, but has a lovely rasp when giving it the beans.
Anyone done this? Even better, anyone have any sound clips?

Replaced my mild steel continental standard exhaust a couple of years back with full stainless UK spec.
Not the same setup yours as it had one big back box under the boot (continental layout for 350i back then)and only one right hand exit.
Now there is only the center silencer and it is very good. A bit more low down/deeper noise, but not too much louder, just how I like it.
Due to my change, perhaps you can experiment with taking the back boxes out completely.
If you don't like it, try the change you had in mind.
