Hey guys,

I need a new door catch rubber where the dppr shuts and stops in jumping up and down. Any idea what the catch (car side not door side) are from?

Not quite sure exactly where you mean, but the door locks on my 280 are Cortina/Granada (and several other Fords too), for both door and the body 'receptacle' part.

The inner handles are BL, from TR7/Marina? and others, but with an extra piece welded in the wire.

Hope this helps !

Certainly Ford.

The handles are Capri/Cortina, the catches are Fiesta I believe, mk1/2? Scrapyard time...

Cheers for the help so far chaps...

Thanks also rob! smile

The bits i need as following (pics say a thousand words and all that!)

Firstly the top part should have a wedge shaped part which the door squeezes up to and also the surround part. Who knows where they went..!

I assume the surround part it TVR own so i will have to make one?? Ill get the guys painting the car to do something here.

The wedge part is most important as the door jumps on the catch and makes a horrific noise!!

Yep, that matches mine, and is the Ford standard one. I honestly don't know if you can get the rubbers by themselves, they are a wedge shaped rubber block with a nylon "cap" cover which clips into the rubber wedge (which the lock bears onto).

My be a scrappers visit - probably any Ford of same era as Cortina IV/V, Granny, Escort, Capri etc....
