Ok guys here is a teaser.. looking for the TVR Lucas fibre optic light source the part number marked on it is:

Lucas England
54365296 4381

So anyone know where to source one of these as I have a idea for a LED conversion for the light source?

I have tried (Rimmers)

TIA

I thought it was a TR7 part....

I reckon you can put a small 3mm LED into each fibre 'socket' on the actual switch, we had a thread on this a while ago......

The '4381' bit will be a date code: week 43, 1981. Used on the Princess wedge IIRC and I think some Jaguar.

Thanks Ian useful info... I have tried a few Triumph rare parts sites with no joy but I will look into the Princess route yes

I have seen the thread on LED's in the switches but I have found some small high lumen LED's that could be made into a plug in option for the existing unit.

For those that might not have seen inside this rare beastie...the replacement bulb is not straight forward as it has a straight pin fitting not the usual offset pins. I intend to make a plug in LED pack to go into the case with less heat - less current - one time fit and forget. I will be testing the 2 colour option depending on brightness with a switch for white or green.

Hi Chris..Well after some in-depth searching i have found it to be from a Jag XJS...I read some forums on it and some have done an optical x 8 LED conversion..Looks like a decent conversion...You can try it on mine if you wish... wink
..

May be some bits here that can be used?
