I went to see a mate today who's into fibreglass specials (he's just imported a Brubaker Box, check that out for 70's cool!) Anyway he had a book with the following photo in it; fascinating - I'd not seen it before:

Plus some others of interest...

Nice pictures, interesting to see how they were made.

I'm still surprised that despite the years behind TVR, so much information relating to the Wedges seems to be lost, or certainly not obvious, apart from the knowledge of those that own and run them. I wonder if the new owners or TVR will have a full set of historic records as part of the deal or are they just buying the name?

I really hope so. More info would be nice .....and what great pictures. So cool to see how are cars were made ...( in the first picture it looks like the words ...the ark! But not that sure ) I did read on here once that the workers would sign stuff ..

That last photo's wrongly captioned: it's not a 'grain-effect' dash at all as the grain panel hasn't been fitted. Looks like its claiming to be the dash of a race car but to me it just looks half-built.

Bob: the workers certainly did sign bits of the cars. Mine has three signatures on the inside of the nosecone.

Sure I have seen that book before. All about fibreglass repairs?

Thinking some of the images showed the body filler needed before it was painted.

Quite possibly! I'd take a pic of the autographs, but as the car's been up on axle-stands with its nose an inch off the floor for almost two years it'll have to wait until I have room to crawl underneath...
