Temps hit 35C this afternoon - went for drive for lunch
Discussion
Just to rub it in for all you poor, flooded, rainsoaked wedgers, the temps this week in Wairarapa, New Zealand have been hitting 31 and 32 degrees C and an amazing 34.5 today.
Went out to Martinborough for lunch (Yep, the wine area, especially for Pinot Noir...What! Oh come on, even I had heard of it in Uk before I came here) which is about 30 miles away down country roads and it was hot but bee-aa--utiful driving. Wonderful. Did burn my legs on seat leather after I got back in parked Wedge though. B-l-o-o-d-y hot.
Fantastic ! My wedge did not overheat cruising at the legal limit, well, more or less (100 kph) and ran perfectly for whole trip....engine had a bit more oil on it though, which seems to be the 2.8 curse of leaky rocker covers.
so it's a big
to you all.....

Judging by the title of your thread I thought your comment was related to cooling system problems!
Not wedge-wise no (surprisingly) although I did have the rad cleaned out as part of the repair of a small leak a short while ago, so obviously guy did a good job.For my personal cooling system though, YES. I'm definitely leaking fluid !
It's a bit weird when everything you pick up or touch already feels warm...
It is Summer here of course, but it's not normally THIS hot.

BUT Andy, you are now headed towards your winter and we are headed to a scorching GB summer!!!! ha ha
Also for accuracy - here in God's Own County (Yorkshire) we are fine with no flooding
and will have enough water in our reservoirs for the expected scorching summer as well.
Wishing all the best for a speedy recovery for all those suffering the wet Darn Sarf
Cheers

AH, OK. From reading news on web, I did know it was worse down the South end, but I thought it was pretty much whole country was wet. Yep pretty soon, we'll be freezing and you will be warm.....but the wedge will STILL be great fun to drive.
