My 390 is now running lovely thanks to new 10mm Race Leads and new plugs biggrin

But my wedge has decided to swop the old running problems with having the reversing lights on ALL the time (I guess it must be an earth somewhere ??? ) even in neutral and now the n/s rear brakes are binding.....oh well..........

This is of course not taking anything away from the 234,695 items on the "to do list" yikes

Still, I LOVE MY TVR biggrin

Reverse light switch probably stuck in. It's on top of the gearchange housing so you can get at it from inside the cabin if you lift the rubber gaiter.

If I put car into first gear and push the stick sideways the reversing lights come on. Couple that with a blip of throttle (holding clutch down) at the lights and watch the panicked faces in the car behind you biggrin

Our Ivecos are like that (won't have a word said against them....). Well, put them in first, at least you hope its first, then the world moves the wrong way.....

Brilliant rofl

The reversing lights on mine used to come on when changing from 1st to 2nd but I think you are right Ian, reckon the switch must be stuck frown

Never worked since I had the car. Not an MOT fail so never fixed them.

Really? Mine are us at the moment thought I'd need them for Mot.

Our festa is blowing a fuse on the reversing lights (when selecting reverse) and just passed.

Unless that recent change in MOT regs has changed things.

Come on guys you just need to adjust the setting on the switch two nuts! Job done and it works as it should . Ian the rear brakes are in the weather just get the wheels off and give the linkages a good clean / lub. You may have the old chestnut of a piston sticking so get the pads out and replace them and free it off

Chris

Well I took Ian's inspiration and tonight fitted a new set of HT leads (£12 off the flea but nice ones) and dizzy cap to try and cure my "cutting out when pulling right" problem. However it seems to be happening still. I also wanted to fit a new rotor arm but the one that came (Intermoron #47590) went on but sat too high for the dizzy cap to go on top (wierd - looks like there's a ridge inside it). So I had to put the old one back on.
